No. 18 Wisconsin women's soccer (7-2-3, 2-1-1) was defeated 1-2 by Penn State women’s soccer (7-4, 1-3) at the McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison on 9/30/2021. Wisconsin controlled possession early in the first half producing the first shot of the match at the 13th minute when a shot from Emma Jaskaniec outside of the box zoomed into the left side of the net to give the Badgers an early lead. At the 31st minute of the match Sam Coffey took advantage of a free-kick and squeezed one in the top right corner on the net just off Jordyn Bloomer’s fingertips to tie the game up. With only 11 minutes left of regulation, Jordan Canniff gave Penn State its first lead of the game off a cross from Elle Kershner. The Nittany Lions were able to hold of the Badgers offense for the remainder of the match.
