The Wisconsin women’s soccer team battled to a 2–2 draw against Illinois on Sept. 19 in Big Ten play. After falling behind 2–0 by the 58th minute, the Badgers rallied with goals from Erin Connolly in the 62nd minute and Maddie Ishaug’s dramatic equalizer in the 87th off a pass from Aryssa Mahrt. Wisconsin dominated the stat sheet, outshooting Illinois 22–9 with a 12–3 advantage in shots on goal and an 11–1 edge in corners. The result showcased the Badgers’ resilience and late-game determination.
