The Wisconsin women’s soccer team celebrated Senior Day in style, earning the program’s 500th win with a 1–0 victory over Minnesota. Peighton Steffen scored her first goal of the season in the 15th minute off an assist from Erin Connolly, giving the Badgers an early lead. Minnesota held the edge in total shots and corners at halftime, but Wisconsin led where it mattered, shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Drew Stover came up big in the second half with back-to-back saves to secure her third clean sheet of the season. The win handed Minnesota its first loss of the year and extended Wisconsin’s unbeaten streak in the rivalry to 13 straight matches dating back to 2013.
